TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Studies Foundation of Russia gifted a collection of its publications to the library of the Iranian Parliament (Islamic Consultative Assembly).

According to the foundation, the move was in line with the interaction between scientific centers and universities in Iran and Russia.

The Moscow Islamic Institute, the scientific-national library of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and the Russian State Children's Library in Moscow are some other centers that have received the Islamic works of the foundation.

The main objective of the foundation is to disseminate Islamic studies and promote knowledge about Islam in Russia.

The publications of the foundation are available at major bookstores such as Labyrinth Books, Chitai-gorod, LitRes, Ozon and Biblio Globus.

Islam is the second most widely professed religion in Russia. There are 16 to 20 million Muslims living in the country, making up some 15 percent of its population.
