Quran Memorization Center to Be Opened in UAE

One of the biggest Quran memorization centers of in the Middle East will be opened in Abu Dhabi in the holy month of Ramadan.

It has been established by the UAE’s General Office of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The center is in Al-Za’ab region of the capital city and will have the capacity to host 4000 Quran memorizers.

Mohammad Matar Al-Ka’bi, director of the office said that the Quranic center will provide services to the Quran activists in the morning and evening sessions.

He added that construction of centers for Quran memorization has increased by 30 percent in the country during the last year and the office aims to open more Quran memorization centers in various parts of the UAE.

The General Office of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the UAE supervises the activities of 72 Quranic centers, including 38 endowed and 24 private centers, all over the country.

Al-Ka’bi further noted that the office also holds annual Quranic competitions for various age groups in different categories in which more than 2000 citizens have participated so far.
