World Mosque Day Conference in Tehran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A conference marking the World Mosque Day was held in Tehran on Sunday with the participation of prayer leaders from across Iran.
Major general Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was also present at the event.
August 21 marks the anniversary of the 1969 al-Aqsa Mosque fire set by the Zionists.
The day has been named at Iran’s suggestion by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as the World Mosque Day in remembrance of the event.
