Skaneateles Church to Hold Program on Islam

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A five-week program, "Becoming Good Neighbors: Christianity and Islam," will begin Tuesday, Oct. 10, at St. James' Episcopal Church in Skaneateles, New York.

The goal of the program is to help people understand more about others who come from different backgrounds.

It will include an introduction to the life of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and the founding of Islam, women in Islam, the concept of Jihad (striving on the path of God) and the Quran.

The program takes place from 4:30 to 7 p.m., and will continue at the same time the next four Tuesdays.

The program is open to the public.
