TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egyptian Quran reciter Sheikh Hani al-Hussaini urged Muslim parents to teach Quran memorization and Tajweed to their kids at an early age.

Al-Hussiani said it is much easier to memorize the Holy Book in childhood and, therefore, parents should encourage their children the learn the Quran.

Learning and memorizing the Quran will help the children to enhance their faith in God and grow spiritually and morally, he added, according to El-Balad News website.

Al-Hussiani himself memorized the entire Quran at the age of 10.

He then learned Tajweed principles from prominent master Abdullah al-Jawhari.

Al-Hussiani was named Egypt’s representative at Malaysia’s international Quran competition in 2010 and won the top prize in the contest.

He was the first Egyptian to come first in the prestigious Quranic event after 15 years.
