Rain in Masjid An-Nabawi
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Heavy rain surprised worshippers at Masjid An-Nabawi (the Prophet Mosque) in Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday evening.
Earlier, the Saudi General Authority of Meteorology and Environment Protection had warned of moderate to heavy rains accompanied by sandstorms in Mecca and the holy sites of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah as well as Medina and Taif on Sunday.
Masjid an-Nabawi is a mosque established and originally built by the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Situated in the city of Medina in the Hejaz region of Saudi Arabia, it is the second-holiest site in Islam, after the Great Mosque in Mecca.
