The Quranic achievement of 115 memorizers were appreciated at the ceremony, held in Al-Riyadh Village in the country’s Beni Suef Governorate.

There were 80 boys and girls and 35 adults who had learned the Quran by heart, according to Ahl Masr News website.

In many Arab countries, marching to honor Quran memorizers is a custom aimed at encouraging people to learn the Quran by heart.

The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.

Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
