Lebanese Culture Minister Takes Tour of Imam Reza Shrine’s Library, Museums

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Lebanese minister of culture and his entourage have paid a visit to Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine’s Central Library and Museums.

 

Expressing his pleasure for visiting Mashhad and Imam Reza holy shrine, Mohammad Wissam al-Mortada said: “What I found in the library and museums of Imam Reza holy shrine was a reflection of the art of almost half of the world”.

“Visiting museums’ different treasuries with different topics alongside the visual enjoyment one receives conveys a sense of spirituality to the human being,” he added. 

Referring to the variety of objects and works in the Quran Museum of the compound, he said, “The existence of a version of Quran with five interpretations in a single volume in this museum is a sign of unity and solidarity between Shia and Sunni Muslims”.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Lebanese official described works at Mr. Farshchian hall as amazing and spiritual, stressing that “Imam Reza holy shrine is half of the world from which many spiritualities can be taken”.

Mohammad Wesam al-Morteza who had a meeting with the Institute of Libraries, Museums, and Documents of Imam Reza Holy Shrine during the same visit to the holy compound expressed his country’s readiness to run joint cultural exhibition and to exchange information sources with Imam Reza holy shrine’s Central Library. The two sides also emphasized on creation and development of cultural relations.
