Heroic Flexibility, A Creative Maneuver for Reaching the Objective
Addressing a gathering of 50,000 Basij Force commanders in Tehran on Wednesday, November 20, Imam Khamenei added that one who walks on the path of God toward different Islamic objectives employs various methods to reach the goals.
His Eminence said in military, political, and economic wars, wherever there is a confrontation, one must stand against the enemy and crush the enemy’s determination.
Imam Khamenei referred to different interpretations of the term ‘heroic flexibility’, saying that some have interpreted it as renouncing the Islamic Establishment’s aspirations and objectives and some enemies have exploited this to accuse the Islamic Establishment of having retreated from its principles.
His Eminence underscored that such interpretations are untrue and misinterpretation.
The Supreme Leader pointed out the extensive enemy propaganda against Iran, saying that the Zionist regime and some others describe Iran as a threat to the whole world whereas the fake regime of Israel and some of its backers are a threat to the entire world.
Imam Khamenei then referred to the Quranic concept of Istikbar (arrogance) and said the main structure of arrogance is the same in all eras and only the methods differ. “Today, too, there is an arrogance system and on top of the arrogant (powers) in the world is the government of the United States.”
Elaborating on the features of the arrogant system, His Eminence said that falsely seeing oneself as superior is one of the characteristics of this system which leads to considering oneself rightful to interfere in the affairs of other human beings and other nations.
The Supreme Leader said it also causes the arrogant not to accept (and succumb to) the truth, adding that they neither accept the truth nor recognize nations’ rights and it happens many times in international negotiations that a rightful remark is made but the US refuses to recognize it for one reason or another.
Deceitfulness and hypocritical behavior are other characteristics of the arrogant, said the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
His Eminence also referred to war-mongering, confronting independent governments and clashing with their own nations in support for the interests of certain groups as other characteristics of the arrogant.
Referring to the United States’ measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in recent years through using the social media, Imam Khamenei said they were hoping to overthrow the Islamic Establishment via the social media, which was a foolish idea.
“Their mistake is that they have failed to know the Islamic Establishment,” Imam Khamenei stressed, “They have failed to recognize the elements of faith and solidarity of the Iranian nation. Their mistake is that they have failed to learn from their past mistakes and, thus, hope to bring this nation to its knees through sanctions and pressures.”
The Supreme Leader underlined that in the past 35 years, it has been the experience of the Islamic Establishment that the only way to push the enemy back is the nation’s resistance and its remaining powerful.
Elsewhere in his statements, Imam Khamenei reiterated support for the government and the executive officials and insisted on the need for upholding the Iranin nation’s rights including the nuclear rights.
