Iranian Cultural Center to Hold Quranic Calligraphy Expo, Workshop at KazGYuU

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Kazakh University of the Humanities and Law (KazGYuU) will host a Quranic calligraphy exhibition and workshop on Wednesday.

The Iranian Cultural Center in the Central Asian country will organize the art and cultural event.

It will feature calligraphy works by Iranian artist Mohsen Ebrahimi.

Prior to the exhibition, Iranian Cultural Attaché Ali Akbar Talebi Matin, accompanied by Ebrahimi, met with the university’s head of international relations.

He said at the meeting that the expo is part of joint cooperation between the two sides.

He also said Iranian universities are willing to develop scholarly and academic ties with universities in Kazakhstan.     

Last week, a similar exhibition showcasing artworks of Quranic calligraphy was opened at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan.
