Astan of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Running 70 Quranic Centers in Lebanon
This is according to Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalayi, the custodian of the Astan, speaking at a meeting in Karbala with a number of Quran teachers from Lebanon.
He expressed the Astan’s readiness to offer more support for Quranic activities and Quran classes in Lebanon.
Sheikh al-Karbalayi also stressed the need for paying more attention to Quranic concepts in order to elevate the learners’ level of recitation and memorization skills.
At the meeting Sayed Ali Abolhassan, an official with the Astan’s branches in Lebanon, said the branches have the capacity to offer Quranic courses to more than 2,000 students.
He said they also organize religious programs with the participation of over 500 men and women.
The Lebanese Quran teachers were in Karbala to attend a program for elevating the level of their teaching skills.
